...I think you broke me. Seriously. That was gorgeous! The angst and anguish CC was feeling and the integration of the most important Otalia scenes as a way for them both to admit their feelings? Perfect! I REALLY hope to see more of this from you in the future! ♥
Thank you for your lovely comments. :) I still don't know how I feel about having written it, but I'm glad that some people are enjoying it at any rate. :)
The integration of the scenes was something that just struck me. As soon as I had "there is no us", I was like "... did I swipe that from the gazebo scene?". So I went and rewatched and was like "Yes, yes I did, but that is also perfect!"
And then I had to re-watch the school scene, too. :D
My, my, watching Otalia videos as research is just such a chore... ;)
Oh, I definitely hear ya about feeling torn. Writing RPF is a very fine line to walk, but I've gotta say that you've done it FABULOUSLY! (Seriously, I've re-read this a few times and I see something new each go around that mystifies me. :P) And come on... If there were ever two actresses that flirted more, gave each other sex eyes all the time and had more chemistry on and off screen than CC and JL, they'd be fueling the RPF too!
My, my, watching Otalia videos as research is just such a chore... ;) Lmao! If only THAT was on my list of chores... *McSwoon*
I'm so pleased that you're finding new things on each reading! I'd love to know what you're picking up on because I didn't knowingly throw in too terribly much. At the very least, it's a good exercise in writing, so for that, I don't feel guilty.
I'll admit, though, they're very good at fanning the flames!
Lol, well it was the little things. Like, "*The* scene. The one all those internet people are going to freak out about. The scene that will be everything that you couldn't do on the show.", "She smiles at you, but it's not a real smile. There's just barely the hint of a dimple." and, "You almost laugh because your new character's just as fucked up as you are."... Apparently I missed those (amongst a few others) the first few times around. I was too busy leering, lol! But once I fully comprehended what I was reading, I was very impressed with the way you added just enough detail tailored to CC and JL to really make the emotional impact resonate.
And, yes. Very, VERY good at fanning those flames! :P
Oh, okay, sweet! Thanks for the feedback! I was wondering if the things you were talking about were thematic or something but I'm glad it's characterization detail and stuff. I really did enjoy throwing in little bits and pieces like that to help clarify who's who and keep validating that since I'm not using names.
