That letter meme.

Comment on this entry and get a letter (if you're up to playing). Write ten words beginning with that letter, including an explanation of what the word means to you and why. (If you've done it before, let me know what letters you've already used.

I foolishly asked moireach to give me one and she gave me E.

Elizabeth - my middle name and a name I like, in general. Also the name of way too many people I know.

ethernet - I've been perpetually online since I was 8 or 9 years old, but did not know, first-hand, the beauty of ethernet cables until I was about 22. I fell in love forever the day I connected my DSL modem to my computer's ethernet card for the very first time.

email - Somewhat related to the above, I've had SOME form of electronic mail available to me since I was 8 or 9, and I can't possibly imagine going without.

Erica Kane - I have watched All My Children on and off (mostly on) since I was six, back when my grandmother made me cover my eyes during certain scenes. Though Erica is not my favourite character and Susan Lucci is not my favourite actress... everyone knows Erica, and I do love that character, despite her great many flaws. :)

Egypt - When I was a kid, I loved all the Egyptian mythology regarding their gods. Seth, Osiris, Isis... fascinating. I attribute it to "The Egypt Game" by Zilpha Keatley Snyder.

emotions - I am an emotional person. I feel things deeply, good or bad, and am happy with that, for the most part. After all, how else will you know how good the good is without knowing how bad the bad is?

emoticons - how else do you get tone to come across through the screen? :)

Eliot - as in, T.S. Eliot, who wrote one my my all-time favourite poems, The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock. Much love.

Ellegon - a dragon from Joel Rosenberg's Guardians of the Flame series, which is one of my all-time favourite series of books.

English - seems silly to write it down, but in this crazy province of Quebec, where the French language is the official language, and is incredibly dominant, English deserves a place on the list of ten. I seem to spend my days trying to bend the English language to my will, to describe something just so... Whether it's the sun shining through my living room windows at (holy crap) 8:30am or whether it's how I feel about a certain situation, I'm always playing with the English language. I flirt with Italian and I have been seriously involved with French since I was born, but English, I think, is my true love.

Whew. Bed!
