Ramble Ramble

Another WW game come and gone. This time I made it past Day 3. Tada! And I bet you all thought it would never happen. ;) Indeed it was a very interesting game...rather intense for me at times; I recall leaving for the dentist Tuesday after the deadline in a rather huffy and frustrated mood. And then yesterday I was as delighted as ever. Yeah...I get really into WW; I'm not sure that's quite healthy. But nevertheless, I love it- even the ups and downs- and it gives me this weird sort of thrill that nothing ever has before. And if that makes me odd, so be it.

Anyways, as I previously mentioned, I went to the dentist Tuesday for a regular check-up, and what do I find out? I have to get my wisdom teeth out...right away. Now, I admit, this isn't exactly a surprise. The dentist has told me many times before I would need them out. After all, I have a small mouth (I've had bicuspids pulled and there's still not enough room) and with a perfect alignment due to braces, I have to get those teeth out before they come in and screw up that alignment. But really, I was hoping I could somehow get away with it this summer and not need them pulled til next years. Silly me. Since August is a rather inconvenient time, I have to do this within the next couple weeks, so I need to make my appointment tomorrow. I still remember getting my bicuspids out...how bloody and painful it was. Wisdom teeth will be ten times worse. I so do not look forward to the misery I'm going to be put through. *whines* Afterwards, I was so disturbed by this news, I sat on my favourite sunglasses and broke them in half. I'm rather upset by this traumatic loss. I looked fucking hot in those glasses! *more whining*

Yesterday was the Fourth of July. I worked most of the day, and it was extremely busy at the theatre due to both the heat and the holiday. That night, the city put on the first huge display of fireworks it's had in years. It felt like half the city came to the event, and it was very enjoyable to watch. I almost preferred it over setting off our own fireworks, as I always tend to get a tad nervous when we do that because I'm afraid of potential fires.

We're in the middle of a heat wave right now in Boise. Today it reached 104 F (40 C) and it'll be the same tomorrow. The advantage: more business at the theatre. The disadvantage: It feels like Hell outside, plus the airconditioning doesn't work in the main lobby, so while some customers may be shivering in the air conditioned theatre, us poor employees are sweating.

Blockbuster is having this huge Fourth of July sale on all their used movies which is completely awesome. Most movies were originally priced around $7, and with everything 50%, it's cut down to $3.50 which is cheaper than renting a movie! So, I went crazy and spent a whole bunch of money buying nine movies, two of which I haven't seen. I'm too impulsive when it comes to good sales...I really should be saving my money for more important stuff. Anyways, I sat my dad down to watch the film "Eight Below" because I thought he'd take some special interest in it. While he did compliment the location, he criticised smaller things like the inaccuracy of how light/dark a scene was considering it was Antarctica. But I suppose my dad has the right to be critical...after all, he did live in Anarctica for a short time somewhere around forty years ago.

I found out Harry Potter comes out next Wednesday, not Friday. My manager announced a special private screening for that Tuesday, so I'm planning on going to it. Hurray!

Okay, I'm so tired I can't keep my eyes open, and I think I'm about to fall out of my chair. So with that said, good night all.

teeth, weather
