Today I got to open a couple of late presents for my birthday, both of which relate to me going to Europe next year. The first one is the Let's Go Europe book my parents got me. Thanks for suggesting it Mithalwen....it looks very helpful. It reminds me a bit of the useful AAA books my mom gets for our vacation, except it's bigger and of Europe

Weeeeelll, you know, I'd differentiate between Socialism and Communism; there are those who see the former as a second-best compromise on the way to the latter, but I actually see it is a point of balance between unworkable extremes.

But anyway, your co-worker sounds like a real piece of work! Ah, I know people like that; I hang around them when my blood pressure starts getting too low.

Amazing how people can still claim the US govenment is better than all European ones, in the face of mountains of evidence to the contrary. I just stumbled on this article yesterday which is really a slap in the face to everyone that claims sex ed and birth control MAKE teens sleep around, raise abortion rates and such nonsense:

Not to mention the all-around miserable education system we have here, as compared to Europe - or our healthcare - *sigh*

But I should stop going on about how Europe is better than the States, or Mac's gonna think I have ulterior motives...:D

But Europe really is better than the US. Now, I don't completely hate this country, but it has so many problems. I constantly dream of one day moving to some country in Europe when I finish college, but with the career path I've chosen, I just know I'm probably going to have to spend several years in smoggy L.A. first. Ewww..
