This day only comes once a year...
Thanks you guys for all the birthday wishes. I went to the effort of personally thanking everyone who wished me a happy birthday, which ended up taking about an hour. Suddenly I feel popular. :)
So, my birthday went pretty well.
I went with a friend to see the film 1408, which scared the fucking crap out of me. Yeesh. And the twists...oh the twists! If you want to see a plain old scary film...go see it. Just don't plan on staying in 1408 of a hotel room anytime soon. The movie also inspired me to think of how awesome it would be if I (or someone else at my school) were to make a parody, which would take place in the Piano Row suite 1408 (yes, my residence hall goes that high). Anyways, afterwards my friend and I went to Artist for a Day, where we get to paint ceramics and have them fired at the kiln for us. Quite fun stuff, though time consuming.
In the evening, I went out to eat at the Ram, a great local restaurant and pub. I ate so much, I didn't have any room leftover for cake when I got home. For my birthday, I got a digital camera....something I've wanted, particularly for when I go off to Europe, but the sooner the better. But I'm sure many random pictures are soon to come as I play with my new toy. ;)
Now that I'm 19, I can go and apply for a second job at the Flick Theatre (the local artsy and foreign film theatre). I couldn't before because they serve alcohol there, and in Idaho, you have to be 19 to serve alcohol. Funny that I'm now legal to serve alcohol, but not drink it...
My day ended with burning and red eyes due to allergies, and I finally had to switch my contacts in for glasses, and still they're irritated!
