Home Again
Well, my experience at the airport was for the most part good. My first plane took off a half an hour late, and since I had a brief layover, I literally had to run across the airport to catch my next flight (I managed to hop on fifteen minutes before takeoff). But otherwise, I'm very lucky. My connection was at Denver, and I'm happy I passed through two days before the snowstorm hit. About 5,000 people are stranded at that airport now and I am relieved not to be one of them.
It's good to be home at last. I admit, it was weird the first hour or so, but now it feels as though I never left. Meanwhile, I'm being showered with love by three dogs. I think the cats missed me too, but of course they'll never admit it. It snowed an inch today, so it's all pretty outside. I'll take pictures if I get the chance.
Tomorrow, I leave again. Every other year, my family goes to the bay area of California where my grandparents and the rest of my mom's side of the family lives. My grandparents are building a new house in another town, so it'll be the last Christmas in the old one (I find that sad since that house is like my second home). This year is a bit different because my sister's fiance and the chihuahua are coming with us (though all three are flying back to Georgia from there). Also, my cousin's girlfriend (who is oddly enough originally from Idaho) is eight months pregnant, so we'll get to meet her for the first time. Apparently, the couple had a deposit for a house in Boise for a time, but decided to stay in California due to my cousin's new job. Perhaps in a few years they'll move to Boise. A very exciting prospect for my parents, as we've never before had family in Idaho. Anyways, since I am going away, this will most likely be my last post before Christmas. I might attempt a voice post...we'll see how that works out. So, if I don't update again:

A Year in Review: (okay, I've only been on LJ for three months, so I'm actually going to use lines from my xanga blog for the first months, which is almost identical to this blog since I joined LJ, just so this isn't terribly boring)
January - April:
no posts (this is during the time I disappeared for a year and a half)
May:
I went to the Black Eyed Peas concert on the 19th- probably the most amazing experience of my life.
June:
Yay! I'm now officially a high school graduate.
July:
Today was my third day on the job.
August:
Alright, I said I'd write more details about dance camp, so here goes.
September:
Oh god, I leave for Boston in seven hours.
October:
Alright, I thought I might as well throw this out.
(and now back to LJ starting with my first sentence ever:)
My xanga site has slowed down lately, so I decided to start a livejournal too.
November:
So, Halloween was perfectly awesome.

Funny how well that sums up the last six months of my life. :P
