WOOT!
Good news! Harloff emailed me today and I am playing lead trumpet at Crown. This is really good because I don't have to deal with the 2 instrument stuff and I won't take huge steps backwards like I did as far as range went. This will be fun because I have some really good friends in that section and the mellos are already set. I feel like this is a really good move. Plus, lead trumpet is where it is at.
On the topic of being a band nerd, I am back at the ol' Avon High School for this fall. I am going to be a high brass instructor, which is what I really wanted to do anyway. This is exactly the job I want and exactly where I want to be. I think I will learn a lot and plus Avon is a great school. I will probably still help teach visual but my main gig is high brass. I am commuting to Butler next year so I will be able to come in during class and do sectionals and stuff. This is going to be sweet! This isn't the job I was talking about in a previous post, but this is going to be really freakin awesome. God is good.
Today we played frisbee and football in front on Lilly with like 10 people. Class got canceled so there were so many kids to play. A few professors threw with us, which was too funny. I wish I had a camera. Today rocked so hard. I guess good things really do come to those who wait. I feel like the luckiest kid in the world. Well, I need to go study for the Phi Mu Alpha National Examination- 6 full pages of information memorized word-for-word. It's going to be so hot. :)
