It's amazing how we've known each other for so short of a time, but it's like you're me, only in a feminine world. If that makes any sense =-P
Indeed Senior year is as hazy and confusing and scary as it gets. Because of my financial situation, the Marine Reserves is one of the few choices I have. Others may choose to do scholarships, grants, loans and stuff that I should have done.
And Ellen don't you lose a bit of sleep over me okay? Marine Reserves sound scary, but here's an overview:
- in either June or October (pray October) I go to Boot Camp and do a bunch of marching, getting up early, martial arts, rifle training and career training (for my computer programming job in the USMC) that lasts for 3 months
....in which you had better write to me
- after Boot Camp, that's it. I come back to good ol' North Carolina, go to college, and work at Greensboro for the USMC one weekend every month I think.
- deployment for warzones for Reservists: VERY rare, and VOLUNTARY
I about cried when I read your message though, I know I'm a wishy-washy prick, but somehow you mean a lot to me. Stay cool Ellen, and stay pure. Purity's the one thing we get in this life that is so easy to waste and so hard to hold onto.
And Senior year, prepare now buddy and it will be WAY less stressful. Still scary, but less stressful.
