Systems Thinking, political impact and The Natural Step

Under the heading "you said a mouthful sister!", this article by Lorelei Kellyis well worth reading.  She points out the interconnected nature of political decision making and by implication, points out how politicians ought to be masters of systems thinking.

And while I'm thinking of systems thinking approaches, if you are at all interested, The Natural Step is a wonderful framework for businesses looking to minimize their footprint.  The Oregon Natural Step is probably the leading implementation in the US.  TNS was created and founded in Sweden as a systems thinking approach to creating a sustainable society.  I love the simplicity of this approach!
