Apollo stared around his beach-front villa with an air of pleased satisfaction. All was in readiness for his "shindig" this evening. And, thanks to a bit of fast talking and a lot of charming wheedlement, tonight would last for a good long while - which was a blessing in disguise for His Radiance, because Apollo was looking forward to a damned day off.
But! The
pavilion was set, the
bonfire crackling away merrily, the
bar stocked, and
three different buffet tables placed around the beach. And invitations had been sent; for the first time in almost two hundred years, the God of Light, Music, Medicine, ect ect was actually going out of his way to reunite with his family, distant relations and all. Watching as the sun began its obligingly slow decent towards the water, Apollo made a mental note to thank his sea-going uncle later for calm waters; the bay was indeed beautiful.
Ezmerelda chirped from her place on his shoulder, her shiny green tail looped around his upper arm for balance as her master strolled along the pristine
white sand, whistling idly between his teeth. He had to admit, at least to himself, that he was actually looking forward to the night's festivities. It had been a while, after all. And it was guaranteed to be interesting.
Strolling back, he squinted a bit, listening intently. Ah, yes. Almost forgot. Apollo narrowed his eyes, a bit. A few moments later, the soft sounds of
reggae began flowing over the beach, completing the atmosphere to the deity's satisfaction. Nodding with a grin, he strolled on, leaving barefoot prints in the sand.
{Notes: Anyone and everyone is invited! Provided they can arrange for transport to the island; if anyone needs a "whoosh", Apollo will be more than delighted to arrange it, just let him know on the SWS post. Feel free to mix and mingle; mortals and deities alike. Threads are posted for each spot, have fun and feel free to get drunk, get naked and go for a skinny dip in the bay - anything goes! Feel free to NPC your servitors, I won't be able to respond to every comment, lolol, just don't kill 'em and we'll be peachy. Format = narrative third person, please; we all need a good loggity every now and then. ♥♥}
