for all devastated

Some things are forever

Oh how I am rinsed and washed in the time of today
A hoax of endless words as lenghty as yesterday
I must have been wrongfully poisoned in my sleep
For my mornings spoon feed me tears in heavy heaps
I fester in this board of a bed, this point of reverse
From this prickly witches nail that has drawn its curse
This pool of dark satin that strangles my haste
Threatening my shadow with an iron taste
Winter mutilates my hotbed for diluted dialogue
Even Shakespeare would not sigh such a tragic prologue
I lick the floor at dawn with minimal resistence
My eyes are dreary by dust but my head holds persistence
Spinning in the center of a hardwood tile
Round I go hands down to a rock pile
Softned by the only vine that glued me straight
Played by a screen of stars that mocked my fate
I am the unknown chip of a carved block
Wearing your weary, your want
whether you like it or not

End note: Tiresome day - spent it playing Mr.Piggy at work
