I'm single, and do ya know what? I don't really mind! But unfortunatly i have one of those best friends who physically can't live without a boyfriend or someone to hook up with. She is one of the best people i have ever met, and i really do love her, but fucking hell she's getting on my nerves with this latest boyfriend ( Read more... )

Good for you for standing up to this friend when she tried to use you without actually taking the time and energy to spend time with you and keep the connection strong. I read somewhere that there are people who are girls' girls and boys' girls, and boys' girls are the kind that, when they have a boyfriend, they drop EVERYTHING and all their friends to spend time with him, and those relationships usually end up not working out anyway. (Girls' girls are the ones who put their girls first, realizing that boys can often come and go, and even when you're with a steady boyfriend that you love, you oughtn't to not live your life!) I agree with what I read in that, while you can have fun with them, you really can't be a close friend with a boys' girl, because they can't constantly be there for you, plus their allegiance often changes from you to whatever boyfriend they have (making it bad to tell secrets, etc.) I recently realized one of my friends was this kind of person (she and my ex jumped each other after I had another boyfriend in an act of desperation) and I was hurt by it, but stronger for it. It's good that you've realized she's changing, and if she can't break this pattern, you may want to change the nature of your friendship :( good luck.

That's actually very true,a bout the girls' girls and the boys' girls.

I'm hoping that when i start the new school year, i'll make some new friends, maybe then she'll realise what she's done by pushing me away.
