'There's one more angel in heaven, there's one more star in the sky'
Last Sunday night a good friend of mine from uni was in a very serious car crash. She was taken to hospital and put in intensive care. Last night she lost her fight for life. Elaine was just 23 and a girl who lived life to the absolute fullest and loved every minute of it.
From the moment I heard the news and the extent of her injuries I knew this outcome was a posibility but I didn't want to believe that it would become reality. Now that it has I can't believe it.
The rest of us in the uni group of friends have given each other so much support over the last few days and we are that much closer now, but unfortunately it has taken a tragedy to do it.
I have nothing but happy memories of Elaine, and judging by the comments left by so many people on her Facebook wall, that goes for everyone who knew her.
If you pray please pray for Elaine's family and those of us who knew her and were lucky enough to call her our friend. If you don't pray, well, please just keep us in your thoughts :)
"I'll lend you for a little time
A child of Mine." He said.
"For you to love the while she lives,
And mourn for when she's dead.
It may be six or seven years
Or twenty two or three,
But will you, till I call her back,
Take care of her for Me?
She'll bring her charms to gladden you,
And should her stay be brief,
You'll have her lovely memories
As solace for your grief.
