Didn't get the job.
The school were very happy that I'd applied and thought my application was good but there were other old girls who had a greater amount of secretarial experience than me. The guy making the decisions was the guy I've been working with on the archives this week and he said he was hoping I'd be OK with the decision given that we had to work together again today. I am fine about it because I knew it was a bit of a long shot anyway. If I'd have been shortlisted for an interview I might have given myself a better chance but I knew I didn't really have enough experience for the job. I was kinda hoping the fact that the majority of the school know me, and my love for the school, might have got me somewhere but it didn't.
I had a great day all the same and had lots of laughs. Made another contact and friend at the school too in the Development Director so that's all good.
Supposed to be going to this fancy dress fundraiser tonight but I have absolutely no energy so I've sent my apologies and I'm going to have a quiet night in and hopefully an early night.
