Holy Mammoth Baby, Batman!

The mysteries of why my maternity pants feel so amazing and why I can't seem to ever catch my breath any more have been solved.

Since the last time I saw my doctor (two weeks ago), I have gained SEVEN POUNDS, and the baby has grown 6 centimeters. To put this into perspective, I should mention the following things:

1.) It generally takes me a full month to gain 2-3 pounds (and that was only in the second trimester-during the first trimester I lost 20 pounds), so twice as many pounds in half as many weeks is kind of scary.

2.) The Dr. uses a tape measure each visit to measure how big my uterus is from my pelvic bone to the top of the uterus (which you can feel by pushing on my belly). It's supposed to measure the same number of centimeters as weeks that I'm pregnant. Last time I was there, Cadigan measured a very normal 27cm to my 27 weeks of pregnancy. This time he should have measured 29cm, but came in at 33cm. THIRTY-THREE CENTIMETERS!!! HE GREW 6CM IN TWO FREAKING WEEKS!!! No wonder I can't breathe well any more-he's already up in my diaphram!

This better mean that Caddy's going to show up early, as opposed to meaning that I'm gonna have to give birth to a 13lb baby.
