This summer has been absolutely amazing. I still grieve Genya's mom, and I think of her every time I drive by Genya's street or the cemetary, but my personal life is great. I feel like I've gotten so close to the friends I hung out with less last summer. I spent a lot of last summer with Mel and Julia, but this summer has been mostly the big group. I've never had a better job. Working at FedEx is great... it's not only a really good job, but they're a really good company to work for. And then there's the person who's made everything this summer incredible. Not only do I love spending time with her and having her in my life like this, but she makes everything good seem better and everything bad seem easier to deal with. She enriches my life all around, not just when I'm with her. Katie makes me very happy. :)
I didn't want to come home this summer when I was at school, but I thank the circumstances that brought me home anyway, because this is probably the best summer of my life.
