Well, I'm still looking into stuff myself, being somewhat cash-poor at the minute. ;)

Granville Island rocks. This is a Templebar-esque area, minus the UK Stag parties, and less bars. Lots of permanent stalls inside a purpose built structure (about 50 different types of homemade food for one), plus glass shops, arty stuff and so on. Additionally, there's a fullblown marina there where you can take boat rides and what not. You also get a pretty damn good view of the city from there.

Sidney Park. This is a fairly big park. I passed it by on the bike ride yesterday. Seems very very nice.

"Third Beach". I'm kinda shy on details for this one. When I was coming back from the Lion's Gate Bridge, I took a right (Bear in mind I was on my own at this point) and found myself in a rest area with a *fantastic* view of the bay. Shortly after that point there was a turnoff to "Third Beach" (with full parking just above the beach itself). Again with the fantastic view. ;)

There was also a Second Beach (which was in the opposite way I wanted to go, so I presume there was a First Beach too, making some sort of beach trail. Or something. (upon perusual of this map it would appear that all these areas are contained within Stanley park)

If you want to go for a pint, I thoroughly recommend The Cambie (on the corner of Cambie St. and Hastings). I hear good things about The Blarney Stone, but not having been there (yet) I have no idea if it's any good or not.

Other than that, I'll keep an eye out and I'll post some more stuff as I go, or in a big lump (attached to one of your comments) near the end of June.

:)
