Art for the Kradam Reverse Big Bang!
For anyone on my flist unfamiliar with the concept, this is where the art is created first, and then the author signs up to write a fic based on the picture. For this challenge I submitted a not-quite-gen but G-rated piece, where our boys are out taking a walk together in the snow, both delighted for some reason, and Kris has something shiny and possibly even glowing in his hand. Even though I had something of an idea as to why they were so happy and what Kris could be holding, I wanted to keep it a mystery to see what the author could come up with.
The piece was done entirely with traditional media; in this case a pencil sketch and watercolors. I've strayed a bit from traditional media of late, but losing my Wacom pen has been sort of a blessing in disguise because it forces me to use paper and paint (or pencils) if I want to make any art, and it's been a really lovely experience.
The story that goes with this piece is by the lovely Felicia (

on her writing journal, here.
