Movie Watch Party
So -- I have no idea whether this is going to work or not, but the facts are these:
1. I've seen some movie/TV watch parties go down pretty well in some comms that I'm part of.
2. There are some movies I think people just need to watch because they're fantastic.
3. A lot of The Programs I watch on a weekly basis are ending for the summer.
So I'm thinking of hosting a movie watching party on my journal. Basically the way it'd work -- for anyone unfamiliar -- is anyone who's interested in participating would press play at the same time, and we'd all leave comments on the host entry as we all watch together in real time.
And since this would be on my journal instead of a comm, maybe people I know from different fandoms would get to know each other so it could be a kind of friending meme as well? Only cooler than just filling out a poll, because you'd get to know people based on their reactions to the same thing. I don't know; I think it could be fun!
Anyway. This probably wouldn't be until next week because this week is fairly booked for me personally, and I might be doing my internship on the weekends, but any thoughts? Would people be interested in doing a weekly or bi-weekly "movie club" like a book club, maybe?

ETA: This would most likely be happening with a start time of around 8-10PM US Eastern time, so uh ... apologies for those outside that time zone. We could probably shift it later if there was enough interest?
