As those of you on facebook know, I am finally back from the hospital! I spent over three weeks there and had surgery twice in a week. I was being fed via my intravenous line and had a feeding tube implanted into my small bowel (which started a whole other set of issues; namely, vomiting nearly constantly for 3-4 days until I had it surgically removed again and I had to have a nasogastric tube put in to drain my stomach to stop the vomiting).
Now that I'm home, it was slow going for a bit but now I'm eating real food again instead of just liquids and my surgical incisions (approx. 3 inch mid-abdomen next to my navel which was used to place the feeding tube and a 1 inch incision next to it where the feeding tube itself was located) are healing well. They're not sutured, they're stapled, which sort of surprised me but apparently that's the norm now for anything that's going to need long-term closure. Dissolvable sutures are used for more minor things. Ah well, what's a few more scars? I have plenty already. I'm just glad I'm healing and especially since I'm healing faster and better than I expected. I've been getting some of the pains that put me in the hospital on and off since January but I'm just stubborning through them at this point. I'm not ready to go back to the hospital :\ As long as I'm tolerating food, I'm staying home.
I've missed you all and I hope to be able to get back to gaming soon as I miss it dearly! Thank you all so much for your words of kindness and your support. I couldn't do this without you.
