Got out of the spa hospital after a lovely 6 day visit for abdominal pain and vomiting.  My blood was so thick was so thick when I saw the doc the previous day so he called me and told me if I was still feeling bad to go to the hospital.  When I go to the ER, they couldn't run any of the tests after two draws so they admitted me for hydration and pain management.  The next morning, they drew blood again and again couldn't run anything so had to redraw the tests.  That's FIVE blood draws before they can even run the tests.  Wait till the end, I have bruise pics!  I got IV nausea and pain meds plus blood draws twice a day and an MRI of my abdomen.  Then my IV went bad and it took two sticks to restart that.  More pain meds and I can finally have fluids to eat drink.  Sugar-free popsicles are my new best friend.  Then I get to have a scope which does not put me in happy place as I have never had a scope (upper or lower) where I was properly sedated, i.e. I remember EVERYTHING and it was HORRIBLE.  So I told all the nurses and the doctor and they were all upset and the doc assured me he'd make sure I was sedated.  He kept his word and I didn't remember a thing and didn't even have so much as a sore throat.  You go, doc.  They found that I have fatty liver, which is why it's enlarged and my liver enzymes are elevated and there are cysts in my liver (which are normally benign and not a sign of serious issues although they CAN be a problem and I wouldn't be surprised if mine are).  I also have ulcers in my stomach and my stomach doesn't empty properly as a result of diabetes.  I have to have an outpatient test to evaluate that.
