Class of 2008 rules.

Right now I'm drinking Champagne with my bro while we play with all our new Christmas toys and enjoy our mutual, weird sense of humor. We did Christmas early since we are going to Memphis on Friday.

Saturday night we threw an amazing Christmakkuh dinner. We had about twenty-eight guests, we think, and lots of food. Good food at that. Rachel informed all of us Gentiles about some Hanukkah traditions, and lots of eating and drinking took place. Friday night, the girls (including Julie, who was in town!) took Shaggy and Wes dancing at Trio. That was majorly fun, but I felt like shit Saturday morning when I was supposed to get up and start cooking. Anyway it all worked out, and luckily I had some help in the kitchen. Not to be uncouth and brag on my own party, but I'm pretty sure that it was amazing. I've heard some great feedback, and it was honestly quite classy, I thought. Some people were there until 5 am, and we managed to fit in a jam session, dancing, and a movie, but only after we were through being grown-ups. Luckily my velvet leopard skirt from ninth grade has come back in style so I could wear it with the pearls I didn't own way back then.

My parents are moving to a new house in the next year. This can only mean one thing: the No Doubt collection/shrine will have to be dismantled. (It's yellowing, anyway, but it will still be a sad day).

I got the original version of Ariel tonight, sans the editing of Ted Hughes, which includes a facsimile of her original typewritten manuscript and some other nice things.

I went to a coffee shop today and tried to write. I haven't written in months, so it didn't turn out well, but at least I'm putting a pen to paper (and not just to write medical mnemonics).

Spring Break is in the works. Barcelona, perhaps? We're looking into it.

I just realized that my journal will never, ever be as awesome, and certainly not as witty, as Julie's... so I think I'll just stop.

Quote of the evening: "You know, their mom had probably bought all their presents already."

Merry Christmas-- I love you, friends, and I hope your holiday is happy and filled with great things.
