This post brought to you by a mix of sleepiness and awakeness

I currently have three pieces of FINISHED ART that are just waiting to be posted!! It is a wonderful feeling, truly: for me it's like buying a gift you think is really cool for someone a long time before their birthday and just really wanting to hear them say they like it.

I just reread that and it probably sounded really conceited! ack, oops. I just think that the best part of art (and music, and books, and television....most things, actually) is talking about the awesomeness! And what our favorurite parts are! This is why we are all in fandom. When the art is lingering on my hard drive there is no talk and the art is sad because no one is telling me it is gr8. And also it is not making its intended recipient happy and they might be having a bad day! Hurry up, posting dates, I want me some we need shiny new things!

One is for yuletart , one for undermistletoe and one for bandom_au . Come to think of it, actually, when is posting for that last one? Okay, I just went to check, and it was yesterday! Did I miss a memo? Why has no one posted yet? Perhaps tomorrow when I am less sleep-deprived I will post over there.

I really would have liked to do that meme or whatever it is where you send out christmas cards because snail mail is super exciting!!! Unfortunately at this point I will be beyond happy if I manage to finish all the ones for friends and family. Since they're going halfway around the world, I have to finish them a couple weeks early to get them in the mail in time. This is the first year I have ever actually sent out cards, and I stupidly decided to make them all myself out of nothing but glue and giant sheets of artisan paper. Woe! My fingers will be forever stuck together!

This post was almost pointless, and was going to be the first time I made a post just to ramble! Then I remembered that Nanowrimo just ended. Despite not getting very far past 10,000 words (excessive law school application stressing), I still managed to contribute! My former chapter published a zine to raise funds, and I submitted some (surprise!) art for it. Here are two of the three pieces in it.

They are both drawn on real paper with real pencils (the first) and pens (the second). #1 is a dude with some headphones that broke and is in no way related to my feelings about craptastic breaksalot ipod headphones and #2 is some flowers I drew for that exercise where you try not to lift your pen off the page.

Long post is long, sorry! Happy start of December!
