update
So summer i guess is really here. It still doesn't feel like July though. here are some numbers:
27- the number of days 'til my birthday (oh yeah...19 :))
1- the number of nights i spent in Maine
2.5- the number of hours i spent in the Boston Bus terminal (after coming back from Maine) waiting for a the 12:01 am bus to take back to Providence after missing my 9.40 pm train (stupid metro being late...)
8- the number of shifts i have worked at my jobs this week (that's a combined number)
5-the amount of money a guy gave me as a tip at my newport job, just for helping in him pick out a nice essential oil for his house.
10- the number of cones that broke at Spinnakers tonight while i was trying to put ice cream on them (the sugar cones are the worst...although the wafer ones were giving my some trouble tonight as well)
30- the amount of minutes that the jamestown fireworks display went on for. i love the fireworks at jamestown...they are so much fun! Fireworks bring such joy! especially when you're sitting on the beach and you're so close to them that they look like they are coming right down on you. it's such a pretty background for them too-because they shoot them off right on the beach, out in to the water w/ the newport bridge illuminated in the background.
4-the days it took me to finish tracy chevalier's new book "The Lady and the Unicorn". Very good book. i love her style. (she's the lady that wrote "Girl With a Pearl Earring".
