This semester will be very interesting. My classes are pretty cool- i love all my subjects. i think they'll be a lot of fun, but a lot of work too.
so i've started turning into one of those students that listens to music on the way to class. haha. for christmas i got a mini ipod (so cool.) so it makes it very easy to listen to music all. the. time.
but that's okay. i'm not complaining. :)
this morning i was listening to straylight run. i absolutely love the second song on the cd: the tension and the terror.
here's the last part of the song, with my favorite line:
darling, all of these awkwardjumpstartstalling conversations
mean much more to me than anything
it comes down to me and you
and whether we're supposed to or not, we still will
we're so much better off than them
all the possibility and promise just weighs on me so heavily...
a look
a laugh
a smile
a second passes by and i regret it
words just aren't right
sometimes i just can't explain
all the ways you devastate me
always on my mind
anyways. the movie is coming together...i had so much fun filming last week- really fun times. of course we didn't stay on schedule and finish, but it will be done soon! it has to. ha. it has been such an awesome experience- writing a script, seeing your idea being put onto film, characters coming to life... i love it all.
i definately want to write some more scripts and make more short films.
speaking of short films, i went to see a selection of short films that were shown at the rhode island film festival last summer. a place in west kingston shows about 2-4 movies once a month for $5. on tuesday they showed a 8-minute movie about the story of oedipus...but instead of people playing the parts, it was done completely with vegetables. oedipus was a potato, his mom, a tomato, and his father a stalk of broccoli. it was actually very well done, and pretty cool! almost like claymation.
another one of the films was a french film about a girl, the day before her wedding, meeting a guy on the way down to the metro. it's a love-at-first-sight- type of story. something gets in the way of the guy calling her, but they end up together in the end. it was really cute.
this semester in the student film association, we're going to make tons of movies. i can't wait for Happenstance to be done (that's the name of the film i'm working on now) i hope it turns out okay!
i should probably get some work done now...
the school work is already starting...
