Wow I just realized today it's been 4 weeks since my crash so I'm doing a little update. About 3 weeks after my roll over I started having mega pain in my right side back, down the right leg and wrapping around my lower groin in the front. I was really baffled by all this sudden pain that was accentuated by sitting (driving in particularly). I was thinking a bad ovary as when I was driving I almost drove to emergency 2 times; I was kind of worried.
I had Dr. appointments that week and 2 Drs. suspected my L2 lumbar disc. and prescribed physical therapy for me and upped my pain meds & ice. Well the pain meds put me away; I'd fall asleep in place any time of the day; I was so drugged up but the pain was bearable.
After 1 week of the meds I figured I could tough it out; enough of that crap. Today I went for my PT appointment and was reconfirmed it IS L2 disc. As soon as Jim pushed on the L4; it was ok, when he pressed L2, it showed me exactly how the pain wrapped around my groin. I have a moderate bulging disc at L2 & L3 and so when I flipped on that side of my back it must have pressed it into the nerve. This to me is "good" news, it will heal and I'll be back to normal hopefully soon. For the next few weeks I can only sit 10 minutes at a time to not aggravate it (sitting compresses the discs which cause me all the pain.
The sad news is; I missed such a WONDERFUL opportunity to go to WA with
wolfstoy for the 4th of July and I'm sure it would have been a blast; I just couldn't sit.
I enjoyed the 4th of July parade and festivities in our local Garden Valley Park and had a great time and the weather was perfect. It was a "huge" parade this year with lots of new faces and lots of horses. I saw almost everyone I know up here enjoying themselves too.
Till next time~
