The plot was actually original, though I have to say creepy... especially the guy's "master plan" for Logan... *shudder* I've heard that they gave Mr. "Award-Winning-Author" Max Allan Collins their ideas for S3 and he wrote the two follow-up books - Skin Game and After the Dark (Before the Dawn is a prequel) - based on

That's the problem I have with media tie-in novels... I've usually read better fanfic. The best one I've read is Sacrifice Moon by Julie Fortune (SG-1) but that's written by an author who has written fanfic (my dear friend rachelcaine so that's probably why it was so great!

The idea for SKIN GAME was mine -- in fact, I'd pitched it and it had been accepted before the show was cancelled, and the aspects of the story that turned it into a sequel to the last aired episode were developed only after I was asked to use the final two novels to resolve the show (as you probably know, DARK ANGEL was originally picked up for a 3rd season and then cancelled at the last minute). Such ideas, by the way, take the form of a story synopsis that has to be approved both by the editor at the New York publisher, a producer of the TV show, and a representative of the network -- three big hurdles to get over

I thought the nanites (which repaired Logan's nerve damage) was the result of the first transfusion ala Max....unless the writer is not following what I (seem) to remember as being canon. And then later on, Max and Logan do a second experimental transfusion to reinforce the effects of the first one (which had provided the toe twitch scene at the doctor's office, thereby leading to my realization that MW has knarly-looking feet...which kinda squicked me...which I have since gotten over....maybe.)

Ya think this writer person googles his name everyday to see where he pops up??? You're famous now ... and in the cross-hairs. : D

I've been in outerspace mentally and BKK and now SAT physically. I think I might be returning to the land of the living sometime after the 20th of this month or maybe after November 2012. : )

There you are! I've been watching for you to show up on IM; I kind of figured you were off on one of your worldly jaunts to some cool, exotic place again. :D

The walking-via-Max started in Blah Blah Woof Woof - middle of S1, the dream dance episode.

This is post Freak Nation, finale S2. This time, the blood transfusion was from Hello, Goodybe. Remember, when Logan grabbed her arm at Crash because they were arguing and he ended up in the hospital again? And Max wanted Alec to come do the transfusion, but he got arrested for one of Ben's murders, so Joshua ended up doing it instead?
