While researching MW's obscure and (most probably) not very good B-movie catalog... color me surprised to see that he was in a little gem called Cabin by the Lake.
The basic plot of Cabin by the Lake is this - Judd Nelson plays a crazy psycho writer who likes to kidnap girls and drown them in the lake by his house. He calls it his "garden." The last girl he kidnaps - Mallory - manages to escape and get the hunky local deputy, Boone, involved.
Guess who plays the hunky deputy? :D
I saw this movie when it first aired; I was actually looking forward to it and make sure that I didn't miss it. I vaguely recall thinking that the guy who played Boone was really damn hot, but I didn't watch it for either him or Judd.
The girl that plays Mallory - Hedy Burress? She's a friend of mine, or at least she was my freshman year of college. We were acting majors together at Millikin University; she did the prostitute from Biloxi Blues that was just amazing to behold. Her name wasn't Hedy back then, though.
So, how cool is that? Forget about six degrees of Kevin Bacon folks... I'm one degree from Michael Weatherly!
