Looking for all the old classics ...

I just found out that Stargatefan is gone.

So's Heliopolis.

AlphaGate is still up, and it looks like maybe AO3 has a lot of them.

But it's been a lot (a LOT a lot) of years since I went trolling for fic. So ... hit me with your old classic recs. I have every intention of spending my entire weekend reading old Stargate fanfic.

All of these are Jack/Daniel recs. Apparently most of my favorites are NC-17 fics. I tried to include some with lower ratings, though.

First Impressions by kormantic, NC-17.
This is my very favorite Jack/Daniel fic because the story is so unique and I love the exploration of their relationship/characters.

Simpatico Series by Roo, NC-17.
A nice long, settle in for-it, Jack/Daniel starting from Season 1. This is one of the first fics I obsessed over in this fandom. Sadly incomplete, but what's there is so good that it's worth reading.

Two Sides of the Same Coin by dith, NC-17 (as I remember).
Jack and Daniel stuck in a Ancient Roman society having to play their parts. (Another delightfully long one.)

I Was Born to Love You And I Will Never Be Free by Princess of Geeks, NC-17.
"Fallen" fic about Daniel's memories returning.

Getting Closer by Niamaea, PG.
"Lost City" fic that is so about their telepathic bond.

It's Good to Be the General by green_grrl, PG.
Late Season 8 and Jack decides to head off-world on a mission.

Slavery on a Civilized Planet by muck_a_luck, NC-17.
Slave-fic with some aliens made them do it.

Slipping by Komos, NC-17.
Go-to NC-17 fic, some bondage.

Making Friendly With the Natives by muck_a_luck, NC-17.
Bellydancing!Jack, observer!Daniel.

Set after "Prisoners" and referencing Jack taking off Daniel's glasses (I've seen this appear on rec lists, so I must've done something right!)

I think I've read Analog Myth a time or two. :) And Signs of Weakness is a good one, too. I love self-recs.

I never was much of a Jack/Daniel reader. I'm one of those who's convinced they were madly, desperately co-dependently in love with each other, but I don't think they ever slept together. I've gotten more than a few recs that pointed me toward HKH, though, so I might have to check it out a bit more thoroughly.

Also of the recs above, I'd still say First Impressions is worth checking out for the world-building. I remember that way more than I remember any sex (in fact, I didn't remember any but I read the comments I left on the post and one mentioned it).
