11-Year-Old Mexican Rape Victim Wants to Keep Baby (I removed the quotation marks FauxNews put around the word Rape, because they were fucking insulting.)
There's all kinds of information in this article. A lot of adults saying a lot of things. But the thing that gets me the most is this supposedly educated woman from the Center for Women’s Studies and Comprehensive Formation saying, "She is very much into motherhood," and "When the girl looks at the baby on the screen she is even more sure she wants to have it."
She's fucking eleven! You do not allow eleven year olds to make decisions like this, for fuck's sake! And you sure as hell don't force them to! She's a child! She has no idea, no fucking concept of what this is going to do to her life, to her health. The doctors are already saying that she's going to need constant monitoring from the seventh month on and she'll deliver by C-section. They're leaving out the part where there is no way this girl is going full term. There is no way this baby won't have problems at birth. There is a very good chance that neither one of them will survive!
Now, for myself, as a full-grown adult, the issue of my life or my child's was never an issue - between me and my kids, my kids win. But you cannot ask that of an eleven year old!
And where is her mother? Standing right beside her, apparently thinking nothing of her daughter's health (and doubting her daughter's accusations against her stepfather), and saying, "That’s my grandchild, we are going to have this baby."
God damn, I just wanna smack somebody right now.
