NEW VID (re-release): Made to Be Broken (Supernatural)
Note to obelix , fiercynn , and whisper99 : This vid has not displaced the ones that you have coming. This past month has been a hard one for me, both physically and creatively. I needed something like this, something that just flowed out of me no matter what I did, to get me back to a place where I can give yours the effort they (and you) deserve.

There used to be a bunch of stuff here. First, there was me beaming proudly, then there was me throwing a temper tantrum and hating on it. Now, in light of the fact that I've edited it (rather heavily) and fixed the problems that it had (with my eternal and unending gratitude to whisper99 and switch842 for their honesty and their amazing beta abilities), here is the summary of this AU that I've created (because those are almost always helpful).
The angel Castiel is sent by his superiors to rescue the unjustly-damned Dean Winchester from Hell and restore him to his life on Earth. Castiel's orders are to return to Heaven immediately, leaving Dean with no understanding of his own resurrection.
But Castiel believes that Dean can either feel his presence or remember him, neither of which is supposed to be possible. He defies Heaven and remains on Earth in order to discover how. He first reveals himself to Dean in a dream, but quickly realizes that he needs more. Castiel wants to be both seen and known by this man, while at the same time he wishes to keep his existence a secret from everyone else, including Dean's brother, Sam. After allowing Dean to see his true form, Castiel appoints himself to be Dean's "guardian angel."
As Dean works through his nightmares and memories of Hell, Castiel realizes what his newly-discovered feelings actually mean. But their ever-deepening relationship is hampered by two new threats to Dean's life. Uriel, an angel angered by Castiel's betrayal of Heaven, comes to punish the human who tempted him. At the same time, the demon Alastair is walking the Earth, determined to drag Dean back to Hell. Castiel takes Dean into hiding, but Dean insists that he is not willing to spend the rest of his life running. After thwarting several attempts by both angel and demon to end Dean's life, Castiel is forced to kill Uriel, and Dean decides, with Castiel watching over him, to confront Alastair.
But an innocent mistake during a moment of inattentiveness from Castiel spells disaster for them both. With Dean's life hanging in the balance, Castiel will reveal his existence and risk incurring the wrath of Heaven itself to save the man he loves, once and for all.
