Posted the rest of these:
Gacked this one from Tarotgal:
1. Pick one dozen movies that are ones that you have special feelings about.
2. Pick a few lines of dialogue that mean something to you.
3. As people guess the film, strike out that entry.
4. If possible, after the film is guessed, explain why that movie made the list.
1. Death is only the beginning.
The Mummy (TG) I just really like fast paced movies like this one, although I usually manage to fall asleep when the action really picks up. I was with some really good friends when I saw this one. Since I moved we lost touch, but I always think of them when I see this one.
2. As your mother tells you, and my
mother certainly told me, it is important, she always used to say,
always to try new things.
This one is from Hannibal. I'm all about the silence of the lambs movies...it's my trilogy.
3. I always tell the girls never take
it seriously. If you never take it seriously then you never get hurt.
If you never get hurt then you always have fun, and if you ever get
lonely you can just go to the record store and visit your friends.
This is Almost Famous. Just like this one, no reason why.
4. "Ohana" means "family." "Family"
means "no one gets left behind." But if you want to leave, you can.
I'll remember you though. I remember everyone that leaves.
Lilo and Stitch. I absolutely adore this movie, even though it makes me bawl my eyes out at the end. Damn Disney Movie Making Me Cry. But it is absolutely adorable. My other favorite line is at the end when Stitch say "This is my family. I found it, all on my own. It's little and broken but still good. Yeah, still good." Plus Jumba is my role model. I will be an evil genius someday.
5. Courage is not the absence of fear
but rather the judgment that something is more important than fear. The
brave may not live forever but the cautious do not live at all.
Princess Diaries. I love this movie because I believe that deep down inside, almost every girl wishes this would happen to her.
6. Every search for a hero must begin with something which every hero requires, a villain.
Mission Impossible 2 (TG) Yummy Tom Cruise, yummy bad guy, plus the one chick I would actually sleep with. Plus I love Anthony Hopkin's voice.
7. Redrum. Redrum. Redrum
This was an easy one. The Shining. (TG again) I love the movie, although the book is a thousand times better. This was the first really scary movie I ever saw (as well as scary book I ever read)
8. Husbands should be like Kleenex: soft strong and disposable.
Clue. (TG) This movie always cracks me up.
9. I love that word "relationship".
Covers all manner of sins, doesn't it? I fear that this has become a
bad relationship. A relationship based on the President taking exactly
what he wants and casually ignoring all those things that really matter
to, erm... Britain. We may be a small country but we're a great one,
too. The country of Shakespeare, Churchill, the Beatles, Sean Connery,
Harry Potter. David Beckham's right foot. David Beckham's left foot,
come to that. And a friend who bullies us is no longer a friend. And
since bullies only respond to strength, from now onward, I will be
prepared to be much stronger. And the President should be prepared for
that. 10. Every story has an end. But in life, every ending is just a
new beginning.
Love Actually. (TG) I love movies that really explore the lives of people. My favorite is The Prime Minister/Natalie sequence.
11. Once, there was this day... this one day when... everyone realized they needed each other.
Pieces of April. This is an awesome movie about being who you are and family. Really touching, kind of deep, but awesome. I love independant films.
12. Hey, you know what's scarier than
not believing in God? Believing in him. I mean, really believing in
him. It's a fucking terrifying thought.
Stigmata. I'm Catholic and totally into movies about Catholicism, especially when they deal with evil and the devil. I'm nuts, I know.
Pretty diverse selection of movies here, but that's me. Have fun guessing.
