So many things wrapping up, thankfully. The deviance presentation about body modification - my section was piercing - went off beautifully. The professor was totally impressed, apparently because we didn't read right off of our PowerPoint slides - we used them the way you're supposed to: highlight your main points and then TALK about them. Hee. So yay for that. Censorship presentation this morning was also good - we created helpful materials for teaching Naked Lunch in the classroom. Eeebil book. I had a difficult time reading it and still haven't really finished it. I'm reading it in chunks.

Now all I really have left this quarter is my capstone presentation at the Women's Studies roundtable on Thursday, and then turning in my capstone on June 3. I met with my advisor Deb today and she said I'm making all the right arguments and that it's really coming together, so I probably won't give her another draft until it's done. *meeble* After that, it's one exam for Lisa  - from whom I got the unexpected A - and that's the end! Whee!

So much craziness between now and then. So SO much craziness. Scheduling some time to relax this weekend - going to the lake (not home) on Monday, so that will be much needed and enjoyable.

Saw Revenge of the Sith yesterday. I think I liked it, mostly. I'm still mulling things over. Of the new episodes, I am *fairly* sure I prefer this over the previous two...fairly. I kind of want to watch them all in order or something. I think context will help. I will say that my distaste for episode I has diminished slightly given episodes II and III to back it up.

Maintenance guy is roaming all around our apartment right now. I think he fixed/replaced the shower head, he replaced the screens in the two living room windows, and he is now wrestling with one of the windows in my room, which has always been pretty broken - I prop it up on a sturdy cardboard poster-mailer-tube thing. The storm window in that window also refuses to go up and stay there of its own volition, thus allowing a nice breeze to flow through my room. He only sort of laughed at me when I was talking to my cat. I can't help it...Oz has a ton of personality, and he's on high alert since Maintenance Guy has been opening and closing windows with varying degrees of screenitude. My kitten is an escape artist at heart. Oooh, now he's using a cordless power drill. My window must have serious issues. Bwah ha.

Looks like it might storm. God I wish we'd get one on a Monday or Wednesday for a change. The light is all odd outside and all the trees and other green growing things look extra green, which often means RAIN. Whee!

Off to figure out how to present this Harry Potter paper to a roomful of feminist scholars. Yipes.
