Yay!!!

I've been offered a teacher's assistant position! I spoke with the principal at the school I usually sub for, and she asked if I would consider working as a teacher assistant for two fifth grade general ed classrooms. What a silly question! Of COURSE I want to work as a TA at this school! I saw that it was posted but I wasn't sure what the pay rate was, and I didn't want to give up subbing if the pay for TAs is really low. But it's a good range. And even though it's not quite what i get paid for subbing, it's an opportunity that will eventually lead me to a teaching position. I know two of the teachers are retiring at the end of either this school year, or next school year, and who better to hire than someone who's worked in the school for almost five years! It's rediculous but I feel like my place is here. Isn't that stupid? I'm just excited. I sub for one of the fifth grade classrooms tomorrow, so I'll let the principal know my decision when I'm over there. Yay!!
