Pic Spam time!
It was a good day. We went to church (which took forever to get there due to the LA Marathon) and then I met my friend Colleen for lunch. It was good to see her.
This is where my mother lives, Villa Gardens. It's actually quite a nice retirement home and all of her friends have been absolutely fantastic. Unsurprisingly, everyone knows her and she's very popular.
The landscaping is quite lovely, too:
Less popular, is her cat, Piper. Piper, of course, hates me and greets me with a hiss each and every time she's me. She's the cat who fell off my mom's third-story balcony once whilst my mom was on a long vacation. She was fine, but the poor guy who rescued her and to deal with her bad attitude. She's pretty, though - but she's a "mean girl."
And this is Pi, the nice cat. She, however, is excessively loud, running around all night with this stupidly loud bell. She even makes noise when she eats, for gawd's sake.
Despite the palm trees, it's been rainy and cold. There's even snow on the mountains (which you can see if you look closely):
More palm trees, for those who find them interesting.
