Yes, I am extraordinarily happy right now. Granted, I'd already gone out and purchased a really fab new thrift store outfit so that I could finally put on a new outfit to go to the theatre. Seriously, we went to a high school production of Grease tonight (San Marino High School, how upscale) in which the grand-daughter of my mom's friend was playing Rizzo. (She was fab, FTR) Nevertheless, I was sick of wearing the same outfit, so we went to this really amazing thrift store and I found an adorable black-and-white print cotton skirt that is full and hits just above the knee. I also found a silky, black tank and a black cardigan (brand new) that paired with it nicely. I would have bought it anyway, so I have no regrets. Besides, my luggage didn't arrive until after we got home.
The production was very good, too. And the Pink Ladies had a darling little dog mascot. The dog, a very Maggie-like Shih Tzu mix named Ticket, belonged to the director and appears in all of the plays. He even had a little leather jacket and a little Pink Ladies jacket. Too cute.
