Post One: Fandom Stuff (but not too slashy)

OMG! rs_small_gifts continues and I got the most hilarious piece of art. My prompt was a Scooby-Doo cross-over. Now, before you think I'm crazy (well, honestly, you probably already do), I find Scooby-Doo hilarious. Hell, my fave South Park episode is the Scooby-Doo-based one with Korn. There is something about the whole investigator thing, the stoner subtext, and "I would have succeeded, too, if it were not for those meddling kids!" that just makes me smile and seems as if it could cross over into may a universe. And what did I get? This:
Title: I got a balloon for ya!

Rating: K
Contents or warnings (highlight to view): *none*
Word count: 5:)
Summary: Remus and Padfoot go to the circus...
Notes: It wasn't suppose to look like this! :)  My prompt was Scooby Doo crossover. And I really wanted to use only Scooby Doo, but when
brighty18 mentioned Stephen King's "It" in her fic I got this idea. And I couldn't resist doing it that way. I know the style is very simple but I wanted to do it as Hanna-Barbera as I could:) Hope you all like it (especially you,
brighty18)!
trisstiss gets double points for brilliance because she also quoted Stephen King, whom I had mentioned in a previous story for rs_small_gifts. And for using clowns in general. As most of you know, clowns are like the scariest thing on earth. Hell, they're even scarier than dolls, and dolls are pretty f-ing scary, man.

And, speaking of scary HP-related things, this article amused me. 10 Harry Potter Characters Scarier than Voldemort. I have to totally agree with a few of them.

On a totally different note, we have THIS interesting post on Harry Potter v. Twilight. The poster, jamesohgoodie makes some rather cogent points and puts is arguments together well. I commented and we got into a nice conversation. Ironically, though, it turns out that he hates slash, especially Sirius!slash, and especially R/S. I didn't tell him I was a shipper. Granted, he could figure that out on his own with a little clicking, but, more to the point, I wanted to discuss his points with him and let the rest speak for itself. Too often we color our opinions of something someone says but our opinions of the speaker. He'd probably think less of me/not listen of he knew what I was into. (Though, in all likelihood, he does know.) This way at least we can talk, and, if he likes what I have to say he'll consider that apart from my R/S obsession. LOL.
