A note on the awards...
So, the winners are in at the Spring Fan Fiction awards at tvdrecs! Check them out HERE. Congrats to all the winners!
Not sure if I posted about this already. I wanted to say that, although I love the idea of any and all kinds of recognition, it doesn't feel right for me personally to choose between the writers I love. For one, I would hate to hurt people's feelings by NOT nominating them. You always have to choose one or the other, leaving somebody out. And also, I recced the authors I choose because their story stood out for me. This can be for all sorts of reasons. I've recced all genres so far, all kinds of pairings and all kinds of content. It would feel strange to leave stories out because they don't fit in a certain category. Third, I kinda like to know WHY a story wins. How are the winners chosen? I mean, nominating a story is already subjective (as is reccing, I know), but choosing a winner is even more subjective.
Which is why I choose not to participate and not to nominate any stories. In case anybody wondered...
