Happy Birthday to me!

Oct 09, 2006 02:22

I'm posting this a little early, but what the heck...I've already received the warmest birthday wish a girl could ask for, all the way from New Zealand where it's been my birthday for a full 14 or so hours:

"Treat yourself! Smile! And know that on the other side of the world, there is a family that loves you.

That made me feel so smiley, it's insane. And it's good to know...thank you, Schroder family!!!

So, as of 2:22am, October 9th, I am officially one year older. Or, well, I would be if I had not officially declared October 9th "Going Back In Time" day. Celebration rules are simple - as of October 9th, you may drop one year from your age. Then, you can relive that year...and do it right, this time. I figure I'm good to go until I'm officially 60ish, where it may become a bit of a problem. Chris says about the time I turn 17 again, he may have issues with me being illegal. I told him he'll cope. ;o)

So, this year I am 29. Which I guess is technically two years, but since this is my birthday, and the inagural celebration of this momentous new holiday, I feel intitled. Yay, 29! How shall I live you??? Hmmmm. Let's start by giving all those skeptics on my friends list a coronary...ready? Birthday horoscopes it is!!

"A birthday on the ninth day of the month indicates publicity, distribution, art, broadmindedness and philanthropy (defined in The Wizard of Oz as "good deed doing"). You're interested in metaphysics and relate them to what's going on in the world. Literary, artistic and strong willed, you're a natural ruler who can succeed in almost anything artistic, as well as writing, teaching, law, publishing or the ministry. You need a broad education so that you can better choose your profession. You belong both in and to the world, making it difficult for you to lead a purely personal life successfully. Marriage during the middle portion of your life is likely to end, through death, divorce or some other separation, though the love may remain intact. Yours is a life filled with long journeys and many changes."

Well, I have to disagree with the law bit, seeing as how my business law class isn't going to smoothly....good thing for Chris we married fairly early. Onward, ho!

"We begin the month with low energy due to the eclipse. Any issues that could be preparatory to new relationships should be attended to in their most discriminatory manner. Clean up any left over squabbles, let go of petty grievances and ask yourself what is needed to be a whole and accountable person. When I say accountable I refer to being responsible, solely, for your own actions and inactions. What others think or feel is NOT our business! Our minds and activities, especially now, will lead us into social situations more than usual so remain as open and flexible as possible. Do not feel self conscious about trying out new behaviors to see if they benefit you. I'm not referring to being deceptive but use different approaches to old patterns and step back and observe yourself while you do. Play new roles to see how they feel. This is the time to experiment. This will further develop your ability to handle yourself in different scenarios. You have nothing to lose!

In the long run, prepare yourself for a possible move or change in living arrangements. This should culminate on or before January of 2008. If there is any "exploring" you need to do before you move NOW is the time to begin. Accumulate information, reservations and impressions before you're pressed to the wire. If you have been feeling the press to move before now and you've begun getting the show on the road already; all the better. It just means you're a little more sensitive to the flow of things than most. Stay plugged in. There are plenty of opportunities for growth on the horizon.

If you have any artistic leanings (and most Libras do) now is the time to pursue them in earnest. This is not so much for what they will bring to you in rewards or accomplishment but for the creativity it will enable you to release through them. This will fill out your awareness of who you are and can be. Since Libra is a sign that operates on the principle of resistance (reaction and rebellion) it's important that you pursue your creativity as a joy in bringing something into creation rather than a response to a need or situation. Remember, YOU are a creator too! You'll know it's creative when you do it, solely, for your own pleasure. What others think is not important."

I guess that's a chastisement for not keeping up with my singing journal this past month. *ponders* I've been playing Sims2. That's creative. Kinda. I'm totally feeling them on the lack of energy thing, since I've slept probably 30 of the last 48 hours for no apparent reason. Not so excited about the big "move" forecast a year and a half in advance....suxorz!!

So, finally...the one and only, absolutely always accurate...Cainer says:

"Ice can burn us just as effectively as fire. Extremely different people, situations and objects often have more in common than you might think. Something in your life now, is proving hard to get to grips with. You don't entirely understand it. You don't seem able to control it. You can't ignore it, though, either. Draw on your past experience, even if this has been gained under circumstances that don't appear to be at all similar. You have a better 'in principle' idea about what to do than you know."

Ponderific.

Happy Birthday, me!!!!!!!!

(Hope you lived through that, Skippy!! Remember: what doesn't kill us makes other people look for better methods. ;o)

birthday
