I got a B+ in Humanities, which dropped my cumulative GPA to a 3.72, which I'm kind of bummed about because I'm almost positive that means no Dean's List this semester. That said...
I GOT THROUGH HUMANITIES WITH A B+!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's awesome...as well as I understood the class, I really thought I was going to get a C or worse just for the mechanics of it all. I never figured out how to make the given essay topics into argument papers, which I found out after the 3rd paper (in a six week class) was what she was looking for. I missed one test and didn't turn in a final individual paper. I'm pretty sure our group final paper (which nearly caused me to loose my tentative on sanity) was twenty pages of the worst shit ever committed to paper. And I still got a B+. Dude...unless class participation counts for a LOT, I have no idea how I pulled that one out of my butt!
But thank you, Professor Burgess, in case you ever happen to see this...you were a really neat woman, interesting to listen to, open to discussion, encouraged discussion for the first time since I've been back to school from my WHOLE cohort, were friendly and basically just made it a joy to be in class. I'm gonna miss you!
