How many of you have had to tell your five year old daughter that her best friend died in a car accident?

Anyone?

Beuler??

Rest in Peace, Abigail....you will always have a place in one young heart.

*Hugs* Life is hard when you learn one of the hardest lessons early....loss.

My brother Jeff lost his best friend to a drowning accident when they were both 4....I lost a friend when I was in 3rd or 4th grade too. Its hard losing a friend at such an early age.

I cannot begin to imagine the pain you must be going through as a mother. I was a child who lost someone close to me when I was about the same age and I know it's rough - I was just old enough to understand death was permanent and that there was no satisfactory explanation as to "why." If I had been a year or so younger, it probably wouldn't have been etched in my memory the way it is now. Grief is never kind.

*HUGS*

My prayers are with you, your daughter, and Abigail and family.

Not at age 5, but my sister died in a car accident at age 17, I was 23.
