my playroom is in fabulous condition. if the rest of the house could magically follow suit, i'd be golden.
i hate shutterfly.
in the last week my car has cost us more than $1300 but it now drives better than it ever did. new brakes, spark plugs, spark plug wires, timing belt, and fuel filter will do that.
not having wheels all last week was pretty good in that it allowed me to get the playroom finally situated and make use of our jogging stroller. daily walks are possible. and oh so necessary.
i have a fuckton of stuff to do and mr. e thinks it's cool to wake up 6:30 or 7:00 every freakin' morning so i'm thoroughly exhausted and by the time the kids are asleep, i want to sleep, too. so twice now i've let an offer for 75 free prints from shutterfly expire. this is not why i hate them, but why i'm considering just uploading the 190 images i was going to print there to snapfish, instead, and letting my other 110 free prints go to waste. their website sucks.
i am going through my old journals in one more effort to purge useless shit around here. reading some of the stuff i wrote when i was 14 and 15 is a trip. because mixed in with plenty of typical, non-sensical, dreamer-like teenage girl drivel are some pretty remarkable things. though i'm only keeping two or three poems to rework. the rest is going in the fucking garbage but only because i don't have a fireplace.
i made a pretty decent cheesy, brocolli rice casserole for dinner last night because i needed a creative way to use up some shortgrain brown rice that would have otherwise been wasted. because shortgrain brown rice is kind of gross.
i'm mother of the year because i wish four year olds could be silent or at least quiet more often than not.
i officially have a maid of honor but i'm still slightly freaked out at the thought of sending invitations out.
i am also officially excited about my wedding again and wish that tesla songs didn't sound so god-awful 80s buttrock because some of them are pretty damn awesome but too dated for reception music.
and speaking of music, we've decided that our first dance (for lack of a better term) will be to van morrison's brown eyed girl.
