Red Ether Demonstration

Feb 11, 2007 05:25

Crap, none of them are laughing, Verge is going to get to keep his hair pink. Well best to get things underway.

"Okay, who thinks they can beat one of us?" Max asked the crowd. "Please step forward." A few people get out of line and come in front of the rest. Two men and a woman, that's a first. "Hmm, you'd be the first woman to take us up on this challenge. I like to save the best for last, so you'll have to wait a bit I'm afraid. Okay, there is no going back for you three now. Before we decide who goes first and you decide which of us you will challenge, I shall let Dante explain the rules."

"As of now your lives are in our hands; if we so choose to do so, we will take those lives from you. You may choose one, and only one of us to fight. Only one fight will be going on at a time, there will be no team work involved from either side. You are not allowed to quit or back down, it is only over when either we are defeated or you are. A defeat occurs when one of the opponents is either incapacitated or dead. The fights will be hand to hand, no weapons of any kind shall be used by either party. Performance enhancers are allowed. The final rule: If anyone disobeys any of these rules, you will be shot dead," Dante recited this mechanically without showing any emotion.

"Now I will tell you something you will not like to hear, and please remember that one of the rules was that you can't back out. We are using this as an example for everyone else, so they can see how our tools of the trade work. Your chances of winning are very, very, very low. Now, who wants to go first?" Max said this with a wide smile.

One of the guys had started to sweat a bit, and the woman appeared a bit on edge. The others that were still in formation started to whisper to each other a bit. The man standing closest to Dante stepped forward. He was average height and quite muscular. His hair was shaved down short and he had a thin goatee. He was wearing a plain black t-shirt, black jeans, and a pair of combat boots.

"I'll go first, I'm not afraid of you 'tools of the trade'. I want to fight Vergil," the man spoke with confidence. Shame he wouldn't make it.

"Name and birthday?" Dante asked.

"What? Why?" the man asked obviously a bit confused.

"It's for your tombstone," Dante informed the man cooly.

"Heh, seriously? Tony Shepard, February 10th, 1982," he said with a bit of bravado.

"Okay then. Alright everyone, Vergil will be demonstrating my personal favorite tool that we use, it's called Red Ether. It is a performance enhancer unlike any that you have seen. After the demonstrations, everyone who's left will begin training with Red Ether, so pay close attention to this fight," Max said with the enthusiasm of a sports announcer.

Vergil motioned for the crowd of people to back up a little. Dante and Max walked back to the table giving Vergil and Tony a good area to fight in, about forty by a hundred feet. Vergil pulled out a small vial from his pocket and held it up for the group to see. It glowed red and had a tiny stopper in it. He pulled the stopper out with his teeth and drank the Red Ether. He threw the vial to his left really fast and Max caught it. A few people in the crowd gasped. Max looked at Dante and rolled his eyes. Vergil appeared to be very calm. He raised a hand a motioned for Tony to come at him.

Tony cracked his knuckles and charged Vergil with his right fist in the air by his head and the left raised in front of his chest to guard. He threw the punch right at Vergil's head, and just before it connected, Vergil leaned his head to the right. Tony brought his left fist up intending for it to connect with Vergil's jaw, but Vergil merely leaned back. Vergil then leaned forward quickly and headbutted Tony. The force of the blow sent Tony back a few yards landing on his back. He got up quickly and wiped the blood off of his head. Vergil took a handkerchief out of his back pocket and wiped Tony's blood of his own forehead. He placed the handkerchief in his right pocket and assumed a fighting stance.

Tony examined Vergil looking for an opening. He blinked and Vergil was right in front of him. Vergil kicked him in gut with his right leg rising him off the ground. He quickly tucked in his right, spun on his left heel, and side kicked Tony sending him back through the air a good fifteen feet. Tony started to cough up blood. He got up again and faced Vergil. He assumed a more defensive stance and tried to concentrate. Vergil was yet again in front of him before Tony could process how he got there. Vergil punched him, but Tony managed to block him. He punched with his left arm and Tony blocked him with his right. This went on for a few blows.

"Verge! Stop messing around, we don't have all day," Max shouted.

Tony looked at Max. He didn't seem to like the fact that Vergil had only been messing around. He felt Vergil hit his arm again. He looked at him and saw him smile. Vergil punched him in the arm again *CRACK* his arm broke. Before Tony could react Vergil punched his other arm, breaking it and causing the bone to puncture the skin in his arm and stab Tony in the chest as Vergil followed through in the punch. The man began to scream. Vergil uppercut him in the chest with his left arm yet again raising Tony off the ground, he punched him with his right arm raising him higher. As he began to fall to the ground he kicked him straight up. Tony went up again, and as he came down Vergil kicked him up again with the other leg, this time he kept his leg up in the air too. He had it up so high he was basically doing the splits vertically in the middle of the room. As Tony came down this time Vergil swung his leg down onto Tony's head bringing it down to the concrete floor with incredible force.

"February 10th, 1982 to June 23rd, 2012," Dante said loudly as he wrote it down on a small notepad.

Fights are always hard to write, but I think I did this one justice. If not, tell me, and I'll try to elaborate a bit more. Well I had to break it up once, and I'm still not finished with the section...and now it's after 5a.m. I'm going to go to sleep and probably update this tomorrow sometime. Let me know what you think so far.
