No, not really. Optimistically it would be in progress, but we'll have to wait and see on that one.
I got a new PS3 a week ago since I got my tax return. The trick was finding a PS3 in stock anywhere, ended up going to a Sears in a mall I hadn't been to yet. The mall's food court had a Gamestop...which was really out of place as you can imagine. There was a great deal of confusion and annoyance because I ordered it over the phone to ensure it would be mine, and they got my address wrong for my debit card. Anyway I worked it out, bought Heavy Rain while I was there, and then transferred over my data from the old to the new. I just need to get a new PS2 soon, or pray for software emulation. My friend back home got my old PS3, today it broke, but not in the way any of us had anticipated, the hard drive died. Or at least we think it did. I did give them the original hard drive, so now they are operating at a fraction of the capacity, but they only have like 4 games plus a handful I'm loaning them, so it shouldn't be an issue.
My MacBook's power adapter quit on me last week, and my sister's and her boyfriend's power adapters also quit on them. Also her PS2 broke the day I got my new PS3, and so she used a bonus in her paycheck to buy a PS3, Rock Band 2, and LittleBigPlanet. While I was in town I downloaded all the songs I had bought for Rock Band onto her PS3 as well as some other things, so that'll be neat being connected to even more people over the Playstation Network. This rash of electronic failure is kind of alarming though. This PC was also acting up quite horrendously when I had returned, but all seems well now. Luckily even if it was messed up, it only has games on it, and most of them are on a downloaded from a service, either GoG or Steam. Still, it's weird, but supposedly this stuff happens in threes or something.
I've been losing quite a bit of weight, although the diet has fallen a bit apart since it was difficult to accommodate it while I was sleeping on peoples' couches over the weekend, and the stuff my parent's stock the kitchen with isn't very health conscious either. Also my sleep schedule is screwed up again, hence this posting being at this time, but it isn't like before, just rotated like usual. Mainly from staying up with my friends and then not fixing it.
So, Heavy Rain. If you own a PS3, then you should buy this game, unless you hate awesome narrative and a game that actually makes you care about the characters. You often get faced with some very tough decisions and the consequences do effect the outcome. It's really interesting just to play it a different way and see how it plays out. I don't technically have money for buying more games, but I'm pretty sure I'll break in a week or two. Maybe I'll get a job soon and it won't matter. It seems like the economy is improving, so I might be in luck. Or I might be forced back into retail and hate my life. We'll just have to wait and see.
