Today is my last day of work, and yes, I am typing this at work. That's the good thing about working in merchandising, the workstation is in the warehouse, and the security camera can't see you. Also the employee traffic is low too...usually...right now, not so much.
So far I haven't packed for school at all yet, but then again I haven't fully unpacked since summer started, so I guess I have a little head start :P Most of my stuff doesn't really take all that long, and I'm going to try and bring less stuff, like book wise I'm just bringing Manga, Vonnegut, and the Al Franken books I've been reading. I have thought of putting my dvds and games in a cd binder, but that makes it difficult to loan a game and what not. I'm bringing my lava lamp since there will be room for it now on a solid flat surface. Freshmen year there wasn't and it broke the second day. I had thought of bringing my bamboo, but Keith has set us up so we don't see much sun, so that'd probably kill it. Plus I don't want it near my alarm clock since it has to be watered and something could happen.
My mom keeps getting on me about laundry like I have a lot that needs to be done. The truth of it is I haven't been wearing a lot of different clothes this summer since I've been working so much and just wearing the uniform. Also any dirty clothes that I do have can be washed in the dorms as easily as they can at home...actually easier for me since I actually understand the washing machine's settings on campus. The one at home is slightly more confusing and doesn't use traditional terms or something. I look at the tags and the settings just don't exist. I hate having to tweek that type of thing.
Unfortunately my television won't be fixed by next week, maybe the week after. When it does get fixed my dad has offered to drive it up...my mom keeps nagging me about just having me come down and get it when I get the crown done for my tooth. Well we don't know if it will be done when the crown is ready, and I highly doubt the tv will fit nicely in my car. She is also highly opposed to leaving for Truman in the morning which pisses me off. I want to get there early on in the day so I can get all my crap put away. *Sigh*
Work has been good at least. I'd probably say it's been the best job I've ever had just because of the discount. Plus the job itself isn't too bad. I'm not required to interact with customers really. There is manual labor involved which is good, but it can be tiring sometimes. Last week I had to move around all the tube tvs. I'm supposed to do the furniture and the home theater systems today, but I really don't want to...nor do I think I can complete them anyway. The furniture maybe if I don't have to move a whole lot, but the home theater stuff no way, just due to the fact that it's a large area. I'm only here for 3 more hours anyway. I guess I'll check them and see what needs to be done. That way if I don't get them done, my co-workers will know what to do.
That's about it. I could go into how my aunt is being a complete bitch to the rest of the family, but I don't really feel like going into that right now, plus this entry is probably long enough without it.
Ninja edit: I got Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee for my PSP the other day and it is very addictive. I wouldn't think it would be, I mean, I thought it'd be fun, but it's all I want to do now. It's the reason I didn't do any packing yesterday. I might end up playing it as much as I played Lumines when I first got it.
