1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before? moved to chicago, lived with a boy, played whirleyball.
2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year? i don't make new year's resolutions.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? gretchen and adam just welcomed rachel alice keefner into the world on december 15th.
4. Did anyone close to you die? grandma toni and awesome, the ferret.
5. Where did you visit? denver, pittsburgh, peoria, and atlanta.
6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009? a landlord who does his duties in a timely manner.
7. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? 6-1 (ew. i live with a boy.), 12-9 (i’ve been with that boy for a year?), 12-15 (rachel alice keefner).
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? living with a boy. although, seriously, it hasn’t been hard. at all.
9. What was your biggest failure? not being able to deal with a couple of students in my class. not that i treated them poorly, but that i’ve tried everything i’m capable of and it still hasn’t worked to change them.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? one bigger girly procedure. hopefully, i never have to go through that again.
11. What was the best thing you bought? my couch!
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? aaron. he puts up with me on a constant basis.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? one of my students, in particular.
14. Where did most of your money go? rent. by far.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? moving to chicago, my and aaron’s anniversary, the 6th harry potter movie, the harry potter exhibit.

How did you spend Christmas? we had 5 christmases! dec. 23rd-my dad, brother, and uncle came to our place to celebrate Christmas. dec. 24th-we went to aaron’s dad and becky’s. dec. 25th-we celebrated with my mom’s side of the family. dec. 26th-we celebrated with aaron’s family in peoria. dec 27-31st- we went to atlanta to celebrate with aaron’s mom’s side.

24. What was your favorite TV program? house, lost, medium, veronica mars.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? no.
26. What was the best book you read? the twilight books, the time-traveler’s wife, host.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery? kings of leon, i guess.
28. What did you want and get? a cool roommate, a new laptop, to find a cute apartment in ukrainian village, someone who loves me and will be there for me no matter what.
29. What did you want and not get? good money in my bank account, my side-piece finished.
30. What was your favorite film of this year? the hangover, star trek, sherlock holmes.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? aaron came over to hang out at my place, and linette and i had a combined birthday celebration at amp a couple of days later. i turned 24.
32. What would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? if i had actually exercised.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009? pretty much the same as last year. i did splurge on some awesome dresses at anthropologie.

36. What political issue stirred you the most? this question is phrased well. i wouldn’t claim that any political issue really “stirred me”, but it asks for the one that did the most, so i’ll have to say the healthcare reform.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009? if you don’t have a job in the summer and don’t actively attempt to be…well, active, you’ll gain weight.
