fascinating view point. I wonder what Re-souled Sam might say to the sponsor after his return from Hell. Thanks for sharing

Thanks!

I love the idea of Sam finding her and SOMEONE besides his closest friends knowing just what he accomplished and what a terrible sacrifice he made ....

Sam really could have used this in his life at that time. I have to wonder though if the woman he was talking to knew exactly who he was. Kind of interesting!!! :-)

I didn't want to come right out and say she was kind of psychic and that was what made her so good at helping people in that way, but I definitely had the thought that she knew a lot about him deep down. :-)

This is excellent. I've been sober for 14 years (gack) and you painted the picture of desire vividly.

I admit, I was sort of hoping to find out who she was.

This means a lot, that I got it right. Pretty much every member of my family is an addict of some kind, and most/all of my friends, too. Not like I'm not intimately familiar with addiction myself, but knowing how at-risk I was even ~ age 12, I steered far from alcohol and drugs and ended up with milder addictions, I'm happy to say, but frankly, I kind of think, in some ways, to be human is to be an addict. Maybe that's why I can't get enough of addiction stories/memoirs. ("Long Past Stopping" is my favorite!)

CONGRATULATIONS for being sober for so long!!!! I've always enjoyed seeing you around the SPN community (glad we're lj friends now!), you're a wonderful addition to this place, so I'm glad you're here and sober and healthy!
