If you know me at all then you know I think Jack White is one of the sexiest, most innovative rock and roll geniuses of all time. While The White Stripes always captivated me throughout junior high school with their red, white, and black color scheme and their mysterious faux brother-and-sister slash husband-and-wife relationship, the height of my White Stripes hysteria reached its peak in high school when, after watching Jack crank out a heart-stopping guitar solo during a Conan O'brien performance, I could not get enough of them. I practically lived and breathed anything White-Stripes-related for the better part of a year, even going so far as buying my first cherry red drum set from the local salvo and teaching myself to play drums for the first time. (Hollah Chiaroscuro!) Sadly, with Jack's newest bands, The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather, it seems that my darling Stripes have been placed on the back burner for awhile. Needless to say, I got a bit nostalgic and went digging through old videos, but discovered a new one that seems to have completely slipped through my radar! While it's definitely no Hardest Button to Button, Dead Leaves, or even Blue Orchid, the video for You Don't Know What Love Is (You Just Do As You're Told) is nonetheless beautiful in its simplicity. It even contains hints of the Jack/Meg cuteness that I miss so much!

PS: I obviously need a black beret in my life now.
