I've been thinking about that 8-day happiness meme that I completely failed at a few months ago and I've come up with a way to make my life not seem so dismal. Because, really, I can't come up with something that made me happy every day for eight days? Unacceptable! I am therefore compiling a list of 101 things that put a smile on my face or that enrich my life in one way or another and I'll be posting them in no order whatsoever.
Starting the list off with girlcrushes, because they can actually have two completely opposite effects on your life. One being the "FML/woe is me/my pores are so enormous!" effect and the other being the "Fuck this thin mint, I'd rather look as hot as ____" effect. In high school, I was more or less plagued by the former and thus lead the typical teenage life of self-hatred and melodramatic misery. Nowadays I find girlcrushes to be more inspiring. For instance, this morning I gave up eating blueberry waffles (which are like my favorite thing ever) so I could look as gorgeous as my newest GC, Katie McGrath. Katie also recently inspired me to stop blow drying my hair every day (an extraordinary, mind boggling feat!) so that my locks could be long and luscious instead of depressed and dying.
