Wow, I love my kitten. I have the bestest cat ever (except for you; you also have the bestest cats ever). Luna's affections have gone through the roof lately. I'll wake up in the middle of the night and she'll be there. If I'm lying on my back, she'll be on my chest, grooming my face. If I'm lying on my side, she'll be snuggled under my neck, grooming my face. If I'm sitting on a couch, she'll crawl all over me, grooming my face. Exfoliant, you offer? Nah, I have cat tongue.
Adam learned the hard way that if Luna wants to stay in your lap, she will do whatever it takes. He was napping on the couch, and Luna jumped into his lap to sleep with him, and the phone rang, and he bolted upright, and Luna went, "Daddy, noooo!" and reached up for him, snagging a claw in his finger and giving him a lovely wound. And then afterwards, she came back to his lap and attempted to clean his finger for him.
She seems to ask for affection from everyone who comes into the house, but luckily holds a special place in her heart for Mama and Daddy.
Jupiter, as well, has become sweeter, gentler, more polite, much more affectionate. He plays fetch like a pro. He loves plastic bottle caps, specifcally the caps that come with sports water bottles and facial toner bottles with finger spray pump dispensers. He can easily pick them up in his mouth by the round opening and carrying them all over the house looking for a human to play with.
This may have something to do with Penelope. I think Jupiter has an unrequited crush on her, and Luna probably wants to prove to her that she's safe. After she is spayed, we hope she'll be more sociable.
At work, I had my performance evaluation. My boss always gives me very high marks, as high as he can without making me "seem like a saint." He really appreciates what I do, and he wants to make sure they know that, because the world of lawyers can be like a shark tank.
